Man charged with killing Kalamazoo veteran in 2013
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A man has been charged with Open Murder for a 2013 Kalamazoo homicide.
Todd Maneke was arraigned Tuesday afternoon. He was arrested Monday for the 2013 murder of Alfred Minka, a 87-year-old, World War II veteran.
Maneke is being held without bond. He was a neighbor of Minka’s and police say that he beat Minka to death in August 2013.
Maneke allegedly moved out of the neighborhood shortly after Minka’s death and changed his appearance. He was arrested Monday at his home off of Mount Olive in Kalamazoo.
We’ll have more from the courtroom on later editions of FOX 17 News.
