ALLEGAN, Mich– The Perrigo Foundation presented the Allegan General Hospital a check for $650,000 on Tuesday for purchasing a new GE Revolution CT scanner.

The newest addition of the GE Revolution CT scanner will provide the hospital with more speed, better image resolution and faster processing power to better serve their patients.  What would normally take 1-3 minutes will now take 10 seconds in scan time, and instead of a 45-60 minute wait for an image to process, the new time frame will now be 10 minutes.

To acknowledge the generous gifts from Perrigo, Allegan General Hospital will now name their radiology department the Perrigo Imaging Center.  A public open house and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held this coming winter for the new CT scanner and name change.
