Traffic Update: New lane closures on US-31, Chicago Drive

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Lane closures for concrete repairs are on the schedule Tuesday for stretches of US-31 in Grand Haven and Norton Shores, a ramp closure, and more lane closures on Chicago Drive in Jenison. All this in addition to projects that are already in place.

US-31 in Grand Haven

  • Occasional lane closures on northbound US-31 from M-45 Lake Michigan Drive to Robbins Road.
  • Tuesday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (8/30).

US-31 in Norton Shores

  • Left lane closed on US-31 at Hile Road near I-96.
  • Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon (8/30).

I-96 and US-31 in Norton Shores

  • Ramp closed from eastbound I-96 to northbound US-31.
  • Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon (8/30).

I-96 in Walker and Grand Rapids

  • Left lane closure on eastbound I-96 from Alpine Avenue to Monroe Avenue.
  • Through Tuesday (8/30).

M-121 Chicago Drive in Jenison

  • Right lane closure began on Monday.
  • Eastbound Chicago Drive from 12th Avenue to Main Street.
  • Until sometime Wednesday evening.
  • New right lane closure begins Tuesday.
  • Westbound Chicago Drive (or call it southbound) from I-196 to Main Street.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo

  • Lane closure on southbound Westnedge Avenue from Parkwood Drive to Inkster Avenue
  • Tuesday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (8/30).

9th Street in Holland

  • The 9th Street project is proceeding on schedule.
  • Expect the intersection of 9th Street at Lincoln Avenue to be closed at some time Tuesday (8/30).
  • No parking on 10th Street near Hope College.
  • Final paving not expected until September.
