HOLLAND, Mich. --  Emergency responders are attempting to locate two teenagers who they believe drowned in Lake Michigan on Wednesday evening.

Officials at the scene say a group of four teens were swimming off the pier at Holland State Park and got into trouble at about 7:30 p.m.  There were dangerous swimming conditions at the lakeshore all day, with high waves and rip currents.

Authorities say the teens were pulled out by the current.  Two were able to climb back on the rocks, but the other two went under.

The missing teens were identified by Ottawa County Sheriff as Christopher Mimis, 17, and Vincent Green, 14.  Both teens are from Holland.

Officials with the U.S. Coast Guard searched via helicopter well into Thursday morning, while Ottawa County Marine patrols had to suspend their search efforts due to poor conditions Wednesday night but resumed Thursday morning.

Family of Christopher Mimis started this GoFundMe page.

This is a developing story.  We'll update it as more information becomes available.
