Wyoming thrift store robbed

WYOMING, Mich. — Police are on the lookout for a suspect after an armed robbery Monday afternoon.

Lt Mark Easterly with the Wyoming Police Department tells FOX 17 that New Life Thrift Store on South Division was robbed by a man with a knife around 5:00 p.m. today.

Police say no one was hurt in the incident.

The suspect is described as a thin black man in his 20’s, wearing a black baseball hat, a black hoodie and black shoes.

According to witnesses on scene, the man threatened an employee with a knife and then demanded money.  He then reportedly fled the store.

Police K9 units tracked the man to a location on Murray SW, where witnesses say he got in to a “newer model white Chrysler 300.”

Police are asking the public to call them with any information on a possible identification of the suspect or the vehicle he got into.
