GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids is getting a new venue for concerts.

The Gilmore Collection made the announcement Tuesday that they are partnering with Live Nation’s House of Blues Entertainment Division to put a new concert venue in the new 70,000 square foot entertainment complex next to the B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids.

The working name of the project is 20 Monroe Live and will have a full capacity of 2,580, but will have other options based on the performing artist’s needs.  The venue will have state-of-the-art sound, lights and production capabilities for live music and also be available for private events, corporate meetings and charity functions.

The concert venue is expected to open in early 2017.
