Saturday’s Powerball jackpot climbs to $244 million

LANSING, Mich. — Just before Saturday night’s drawing, the Michigan Powerball Jackpot stands at $244 million.

The cash option for the jackpot is $165 million.

If a Michigan player wins big on Saturday, it would be the third largest Powerball prize won in state history. The last Michigan player to win the jackpot was Julie Leach of Three Rivers. She won $310.5 million.

If you are interested in winning big on Saturday, you have until Saturday at 9:45pm to purchase $2 tickets at Lottery retailers or online at The drawing takes place at 10:59pm.
