HOLLAND, Mich. — Family and friends of Anthony Lamb came together Saturday night to remember the man shot and killed in Holland last weekend.

Lamb was shot in the chest outside of the Hookah Lounge, leaving a family, fiance and two kids behind. Lamb is the half-brother of Kalamazoo shooting survivor, Tiana Carruthers.

It’s been a tough year for the family, made even more difficult with no one being charged with Anthony’s murder. His family tells FOX 17 they’re seeking closure and justice for Anthony, but despite of this, Saturday night wasn’t a night for mourning.

A candlelight vigil Saturday night would remember the brother, father and fiance, Anthony Lamb.

“He always was taking care of his responsibilities in life,” said Dannyell Herron, a close friend of Lamb’s.

“You don’t see too many people like that in your life so when you see them, grab a hold of them and love them” said Antoine Williams, a close friend of Lamb’s.

Candles spelled out ‘Rest in Peace Ant’ underneath photos of their favorite memories.

“We’re going to do this and let him rest in peace and be happy,” said Ashley Kennae Isom, a close friend of Lamb’s.

His family and friends are raising money to help out his fiance and kids he’s leaving behind.

“His mother, his family, his kids, we have to make it happen,” said Kennae Isom. “We have to make it happen. He was the one providing for his kids, he was the one buying the diapers and wipes and now he’s gone. His baby still needs diapers and wipes. We need to support them.”

Three arrests have been made in connection with the homicide, but no one has been charged with murder.

Demetrius Viney, who is believed to be at the scene at the time, has been arrested on being a felony in possession of a firearm. Adam Young was arrested for lying to police in connection to the case. A third person was also arrested on outstanding warrants, but has not been identified.

“We just want closure and justice for Ant,” Herron said.

Anthony’s half-sister, Tiana Carruthers, is one of the survivors of the Kalamazoo shooting.

“For her to lose her brother to the same situation she was just in, she is probably torn to pieces,” said Kennae Isom.

“It’s probably messing with her right now.  For her to almost lose her life to multiple bullets and for somebody to take her brother’s life with one bullet, think about how she feels.”

Family and friends of Lamb are still raising money to help cover his funeral costs and financial support for his children. You can donate by clicking here.
