There's no question that heart disease and strokes have affected many families across West Michigan.

Join the community by taking part in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk to raise funds and awareness for these diseases. Heart disease and stroke are the number one and number five killers in the United States.

The Heart Walk is designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living. It's an environment that's fun and rewarding for the entire family.

There will be two walks happening on Saturday, September 24. The Grand Rapids Heart Walk will be at Granger Green Campus at Metro Health with opening ceremony starting at 9:30 a.m.

The Kalamazoo Heart Walk is happening at the Mayors Riverfront Stadium with opening ceremonies starting at 9 a.m.
