GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Kent County Prosecutor has charged a 21-year-old man in a murder from earlier this week.
Martez McLaughlin is charged with Open Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder and Felony Firearms in the shooting death of Joseph Banks Monday evening in the 1400 block of Eastern Avenue SE. A 15-year-old was also wounded in the shooting.
Police say McLaughlin was arrested Tuesday. He was arraigned Thursday morning.
