BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A woman was taken to jail after police say she fired shots at another woman after fighting about a man.

Battle Creek police say they responded to a 911 call near the area of 230 Riverside Road Saturday morning around 8 a.m. There, they found a female victim saying a woman fired shots at her after that woman was caught with the father of the victim’s children.

The victim gave police the suspect’s license plate and car description, and shortly after, Calhoun County deputies found the vehicle with the suspect inside with a female driver. Both were arrested.

The suspect was taken to jail on charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearms. The driver was arrested on unrelated charges. Both women are from Kalamazoo.
