LUDINGTON, Mich. - The trial of a man accused of killing his four month old daughter entered its third week Monday.

Sean Phillips is on trial for killing his baby, Katherine, also known as Baby Kate, in 2011.  Phillips is currently serving a ten year sentence for unlawfully imprisoning Baby Kate.  Kate's body has never been found.

Monday, Rushawn Burton continued his testimony from Friday.  He shared a cell with Phillips and told the court that Phillips told him that investigators would never find Baby Kate.

The defense tried to discredit Burton due to his criminal record.

Also taking the stand Monday was Detective Michael Kenney.  He laid out a timeline for jurors of all that happened on June 29, 2011, which was the day Baby Kate was last seen. He included every cellphone call made to Phillips, where he was that day, witness accounts and even a surveillance video.  But even after all this, the defense highlights the fact that Kate has not been found.

Testimony may be nearing an end.  If that is the case, closing arguments may take place as soon as Tuesday. We'll have more from Ludington as it becomes available.
