Deputies: Man arrested after pepper-spraying dog on walking trail

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — An arrest was made Tuesday afternoon after deputies say a man pepper-sprayed a dog in Texas Township.

According to deputies, a 28-year-old man was confronting people walking their dogs at the Al Sabo Trails, and in one instance, pepper-sprayed a dog after becoming “irate.”

That suspect is now behind bars on a warrant from Grand Traverse County. Kalamazoo County Underhsheriff Paul Matyas says they intend to seek additional warrants Wednesday.

The suspect is from Kalamazoo.
