Here are five things we think you would like to know for Tuesday, Oct. 25.

.) More than 1,900 animals up for adoption at 57 shelter around Michigan found their forever homes on Saturday, Oct. 23. The Bissell Pet Found covered the adoption costs and families only had to pay the small licensing fees.

.) Kalamazoo City Commissioners approved an agreement that will bring in $70 million-dollars from private donors. The money from the new "Foundation for Excellence" will go toward reducing taxes for homeowners and stabilizing the city's budget. Private donations will fund the foundation for the first three years and then it will rely on public donations. This money comes at a critical time since the city was staring down a nearly $2 million-dollar budget deficit.

.) West Michigan Works at the Holland Service Center on Clover Street is holding a job fair today. The more than 100 jobs up for grabs pay from $9 to$22 per hour. It runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and make sure to dress well along with bringing that resume.

.) The first game of the World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians kicks off tonight at 8p.m. on FOX 17.

.) Only for one day, Krispy Kreme is offering Pumpkin Spice donuts for National Pumpkin Day on Wednesday, Oct. 26. The Grand Rapids location is participating.
