Planned power outage will impact 4,500+ in Kent County

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Consumers Energy says it’s planning an outage overnight for thousands of customers in Kent County.

The outage will affect customers in Cascade Township and southwest Lowell Township.   Power is expected to be shut off for about two hours beginning at 2 a.m. Wednesday.

The company says the outage will allow crews to safely perform emergency work at the Cascade substation.   The outage will affect more than 4,500 customers.
