Week 8 of the NFL season is here and there may be some confusion on FOX 17 Sunday morning.

But, not for NFL fans, but for people who like to watch the weekly Mass at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Grand Rapids.

The NFL’s continued foray into Europe continues this week with the Washington Redskins taking on the Cincinnati Bengals in London, England at 9:00am Eastern time.  That game will be part of the Fox “triple-header”, so FOX 17 will not be able to air Mass this week.  We will be airing it on our sub stations, 17.2 (Antenna TV) and 17.3 (THIS TV) and will be streaming it live on FOX17Online.com and the FOX17 apps. Look for the green bar at the top of our home page starting at 9:55am to watch the live stream.  Mass starts at 10:00am and will return to its normal slot on FOX 17 next week, November 6.

But now, back to football.

Our local heroes, the Detroit Lions, go for their fourth win in a row in a visit to the Houston Texans at 1:00pm on FOX 17.  Fox’s national game of the week will follow at 4:25pm and will feature the Green Bay Packers visiting the Atlanta Falcons.  No Joe Buck though.  He’s doing the World Series this weekend.

Our market will get the 1:00pm CBS game of the New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills.

Now, if three football games isn’t enough for you Sunday morning and afternoon, and you missed your weekly dose of Joe Buck, World Series Game 5 will be Sunday night at 8:00pm on FOX 17.
