HUDSONVILLE, Mich. – A young boy profiled in September for his fight against a brain tumor has died.

Tommy Ruddy died just after midnight according to the Team Tommy Army Strong Facebook page.

Tommy was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, or DIPG in August. It’s an incurable and aggressive type of tumor brought to the limelight when Chad Carr, grandson of former University of Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, was diagnosed several years back.
