GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Taelynn is a high school sophomore  who is smart, creative, caring and showed off how fast of a learning she is as she played the cello Tuesday. After years of moving between foster homes and now a group placement, Taelynn says she still hopes to be adopted.

“Know what my favorite thing to do on the cello is?" said Taelynn as she ran her finger up her cello's string, making a "cow noise."

Taelynn lovingly showed off her cello and her playing skills at the Grand Rapids Academy of Music Tuesday. Anna, a violinist and instructor there, played with Taelynn and gave her a lesson and asked, "You're just starting? You're doing awesome!"

Along with beginning to learn cello since the start of the school year, Taelynn is a talented artist.

“I love drawing little comics and stuff, I like drawing realistically too," she said. "I’m good at drawing eyes and animals.”

In order to enjoy other hobbies, like hanging with friends or playing video games, Taelynn seems to be a time-management ace.

“My room was clean, my chores were done, I kept the house clean, I had a job, and I did my homework," said Taelynn smiling. "So that was my free time.”

Taelynn also says she loves hair. As she looks forward to graduating high school, she wants to work while attending trade school learning cosmetology.

“I could be learning and actually cutting hair," said Taelynn. "And after that I plan on working at a salon.”

To achieve her goals, Taelynn - like any other teen - wants parents.

“Help me, love me, and kind of like help me through the times that I’m having," she explained.

Taelynn wants her forever family.

“I just need that major support of if I miss up be like, ‘hey, you know what you messed up, suck it up, I’m here for you, I love you,'" she said.

When FOX 17 asked how would it feel to find a family that fit, Taelynn said,  "Amazing.”

If you want to learn more about Taelynn, or the adoption process through the state's foster care which is free, call her adoption agency: Orchards Children's Services at 1 (855) 694-7301.

FOX 17 would like to extend a special thank you to Anna and staff with the Grand Rapids Academy of Music for another special filming!
