BANGOR, Mich. - Two people are in custody for allegedly setting a fire in 1992 that killed two children in Van Buren County.

Michigan State Police have been investigating the fire since November 29, 1992, when the apartment on 60th Road near Bangor burned.

Krysta McFadden, 45, and her former boyfriend, Clint Dunning, 43, are now each charged with two counts of Open Murder.  Killed in the fire were McFadden's five-year-old daughter, Amber Rainey, and three-year-old son, Robert Rainey.

Detectives say that after the fire, McFadden and Dunning left Michigan.  Police say that they weren't always the main suspects, but were never cleared.

Police found Dunning in October in Springfield, Missouri.  McFadden was found in jail serving time for check fraud.
