FOX 17 – Your first place Detroit Lions are back from the bye week…and not on FOX 17 this week.

The Lions lead the CBS doubleheader Sunday, taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars at 1:00pm.  CBS’s second game is their national telecast of the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks.

Here on FOX 17, we get the rapidly imploding Chicago Bears taking on the NY Giants.  Just a little to our north, Fox will be airing the rapidly declining Minnesota Vikings taking on the Arizona Cardinals.

The Packers get the Sunday night spot this week and then Monday Night Football features the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders from Mexico City.

Now, next week is Thanksgiving and the Lions and the Dallas Cowboys are once the again the host cities for the games.  They rotate their networks each year, so this year the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions early Thanksgiving game will be on CBS and the late Thanksgiving game of the Washington Redskins vs. Dallas will be on FOX.  Thanksgiving night will be the Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts.  The Sunday guide will be published later next week.

This reads like a bit of a complaint. Doesn’t your station get to chose the game? There are two other games you fail to mention (the other colors on the map). Also, no credit give to 506sports.com who create these maps.
