OLIVE/HOLLAND TWP., Mich. – Too many crashes and an increasing volume of traffic has led the Ottawa County Road Commission to install a new all-way stop at 120th Avenue and New Holland Street.
The all-way stop is scheduled to be installed on Tuesday, November 22. If weather delays the project, it will be installed on Wednesday, November 23.
One of the most recent crashes involved a car and a semi-truck hauling sawdust on November 3. The Ottawa County Road Commission says that the intersection has a crash rate that is above average.
Currently, traffic on New Holland Street has stop signs at 120th Avenue. New Holland Street is the border between Olive Township and Holland Township.
