GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Well Mannered Dog Center in Grand Rapids took in more than 20 Shetland Sheepdogs this weekend, rescued from northern Michigan.

The animals came to the center in poor condition, covered in feces and fleas.  Many had matted fur as well.

Center employees are working to clean up the dogs and get them evaluated by a vet.  After their conditions are determined, they'll be put in foster homes and adopted to new owners.

Details as to the adoption process for these dogs has not yet been released.
