MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Western Michigan Fugitive Task Force say a sex assault suspect who was featured in a recent Silent Observer campaign has been arrested in Tennessee.

Robert Allen Jost, 53, was located and arrested by authorities in Memphis on November 16th.  Authorities say he’d been living with family in that area prior to his arrest.

Jost was one of several suspects featured during an April 2016 Silent Observer campaign to locate wanted sex offenders in West Michigan.  Jost is facing federal charges for failing to register as a sex offender under the Adam Walsh Act.  He also has local arrest warrants that are still pending.

Jost’s online record with the state sex offender registry shows he was convicted of sexual assault in Kent County in January of 1990.  He also has prior convictions involving check fraud and drugs that landed him in prison in the 90’s.
