Looking for a way to use up all those old ties you don't wear anymore? Or maybe you just want to get rid of those hideous ties that your husband won't get rid of? Put those ties to use by using them to wrap up those gift cards you're giving to someone this holiday.

Here's what you need:

  • Old tie
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Velcro or buttons

Place the tie with the back side facing up and put the gift card on top of the tie to figure out how much fabric you'll need to fit the card inside.

Measure about an inch past the end of the gift card and cut the tail. Fold the cut edge of the tie and glue it in place. Glue the sides back to create a pocket.

Fold back the tip and add a closure, then use the Velcro tabs or sew the button on the outside to provide a cool look.
