Police: Suspect fired gun during apparent road rage fight

IONIA, Mich. — A motorist faces assault with intent to commit murder charges after police say several gunshots were fired during an apparent road rage incident on Wednesday.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. on Adams Street near Steele Street in Ionia.

According to the Ionia Department of Public Safety, two motorists were fighting when one of them pulled out a gun and began firing.

No injuries were reported and the suspect was taken to jail.
