WEST MICHIGAN — After a mostly cloudy night, skies will become partly cloudy today as high pressure slides to our east and winds become more southerly. The combination of the increased sunshine and the mild wind will yield temperatures about five degrees warmer than yesterday.

Here is a look at the surface map as of this early morning writing:

You’ll notice that an area of low pressure is bringing some mixed precipitation to parts of Colorado. This same area of low pressure will track to the east and northeast tomorrow and Tuesday, bringing rain showers to the area. Future Track HD suggests some showers will impact your morning commute tomorrow:

The showers will be scattered in nature on Monday, but a steadier rain is possible Monday night into Tuesday morning:

The rain should be over with by noon on Tuesday. But between 3 AM Monday morning and noon on Tuesday, some areas could see as much as an inch of total rainfall:

Low pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will continue to hang over the Great Lakes through the end of the week. This will keep our skies mostly cloudy with a few rain and snow showers possible.
