Kentwood High School's ABC Orchestra is hosting a benefit concert to raise money for their one-week performance tour to Scotland on Tuesday.

Also known as the Anything But Classical Orchestra, the ensemble is made of about 30 middle school and high school students. They get up at 6:30 every morning to practice their music, but as the name implies they don't play just classical music. The group plays a variety of styles of music from all over the world.

ABC Orchestra travels all across the country to perform. They tour all over Cleveland during the year, and in the past 10 years they've performed at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Nashville Country Music Hall of Fame.

The ensemble has even performed at an international level travelling to Ireland, where they did a six day tour playing in historical cathedrals across the country.

This year the orchestra will be headed to Scotland for a one-week performance tour. They will perform a variety of Scottish pieces, as well as listen and learn from the local musicians on how they play the same type of music.

But if they're going to make it happen, they need your help.

If you want to help the students travel to Scotland, the ABC Orchestra will be performing at their 10th Anniversary Concert to help raise money for their trip. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at the East Kentwood Fine Arts Auditorium.

Admission to the concert it free, but donations will be accepted.
