Teen critically injured after getting hit by car

HOLLAND, Mich. – A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a car Monday night.

The incident happened at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Veterans Drive in Holland at about 10:00pm.

Holland officers say that two teens who live in the area were crossing Lincoln Avenue from a store when one ran in front of a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old woman.  They say there is very little light in the area and it was raining hard at the time.

The teen was taken to Holland Hospital and then transported to Spectrum Butterworth with critical injuries.  The driver was not injured.
