ALLEGAN, Mich. — An individual is behind bars Thursday evening after allegedly shooting someone five times with a CO2-powered pistol.

Allegan police say they were notified of the incident after the shooting victim arrived at the hospital. The victim had been shot five times: once in the face and the rest to the torso and legs. The weapon was a CO2 pistol, which police say was also used to hit the victim in the head. Overall, the injuries were non-life threatening and the victim was released.

The suspect was found a short time later by the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department. That person was arrested and taken to the Allegan County jail.

Police say a charging request is expected to be submitted to the prosecutor’s office Friday for review.
