GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — More than 2,700 customers of Consumers Energy were without power Monday morning, but the outages tend to be in small pockets in a widely scattered area.
Thornapple Elementary School in the Forest Hills Public School District was closed for the day due to the outage.
As of 6 a.m., more than 1,600 customers had no power in Kent County, more than 400 in Ottawa County, about 475 in Allegan County, nearly 300 in Ionia County, and about 63 in Montcalm County.
