Back in October, Fox 17 Morning Mix kicked off the I Will Get Fit Challenge, where four contestants went out on a mission to engage in a healthier lifestyle. They've made it through Thanksgiving, now they have to make it through the struggle of holiday eating.

Get Fit Challenger Derek, and his trainer Brian from North Muskegon Fit Body Boot Camp, came in the studio to check in and report their progress.

Derek's biggest challenge so far is getting used to the routine, but thanks to that routine his strength and endurance are way up. Halfway through the challenge, he's already lost 50 pounds!

Often Fit Body Boot Camp gets a bad reputation because of including "boot camp" in the name. Classes are between 30 to 40 minutes long, so anybody can fit in a quick workout during the day.

Workouts are also high intensity, so they're designed to burn body fat and build muscle. Even if the exercises are modified, you'll still work with all the same muscles as the regular workout, but at a lower intensity.

Trainers at Fit Body Boot Camp encourage first timers to try their three day free trial. The workout may look intimidating at first, but once you finish you'll want to come back!

North Muskegon Fit Body Boot Camp is located at 1887 Holton Road in Suite 1. To schedule an appointment with them, call (231) 375-8660.
