KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The city of Kalamazoo has lifted a Boil Water Advisory it issued Thursday.

At noon Saturday, the precautionary Boil Water Advisory issued Thursday was lifted by the city, in cooperation with the Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department.

Citizens in the affected area from approximately the 1300 block of East Michigan Avenue to the 1600 block of East Michigan Avenue, limited to the north side of that street, plus all of Foresman Avenue can now use city water for consumption as well as all other purposes.

The city said bacteriological sampling within the affected area verified that the water is safe to drink.
