FLINT, Mich. — Additional criminal charges will likely be issued in connection to the Flint water crisis, says the Attorney General’s office.

According to a media release, Attorney General Bill Schuette along with the Flint Water Investigative Team will announce more criminal charges Tuesday morning in Flint.

So far, nine peoplehave been charged in connection to the water crisis, including Michigan’s former top drinking water official in August.

It’s been a year since Governor Snyder declared a state of emergency in Flint, after high lead levels were detected in the city’s drinking water.
