CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. — A man was found not guilty in the death of a Calhoun County girl Monday afternoon.

In December 2014, police say that Athena was found unresponsive at a home off Old US-127. She was taken to the hospital but died the next day. Ball was boyfriend of her mother and was arrested on homicide and child abuse charges.

A sentencing date for Ball hasn’t been set yet.
