Thousands without power in Southwest Michigan due to weather

Middleville - Main and Arlington

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The April snow showers Thursday are creating power outages throughout Southwest Michigan, according to Consumer Energy’s outage map.

Although some counties such as Van Buren are reporting lower outages, Kalamazoo and Barry Counties are seeing thousands in the dark.

The snowy, rain mix is expected to continue throughout the day.
