GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police are investigating after they say one person was shot on the city’s southeast side Sunday evening.

Grand Rapids police confirm to FOX 17 that officers responded to the 900 block of Madison SE around 7:30 p.m. Officers were told that a gunshot victim was laying in the street.

Police say the 23-year-old male victim was shot several times, injuring his legs and  pelvis. His injuries are said to be non-life threatening. Authorities say it was reported earlier that the victim was walking down the sidewalk when he was shot.

Two black male suspects reportedly ran off after the shooting. They’re believed to be in their 20’s, wearing  black sweatshirts and light colored jeans.

Trying to keep up with the West side? Or, is it the other way around? Regardless, the bad guys are running both areas pretty much the same these days so keeping score is difficult.

Fox 17 report the shooting on Stocking and Sixth? That area should be torn down. Some black chasing another down the street, shoots him.
Then Crosby and Quarry–driveby fills two houses with bullet holes.Nice city Grand Rapids has turned into…mayor.Tear large portions DOWN.

Instead, certain city leaders have turned this into negativity against our police department and made it into a race issue. Blow smoke and don’t place the blame where it actually belongs….

…amd you wonder how much gunplay ISN’T reported. When a woman was killed on Lincoln and Bridge,a neighbor went on TV and said he heard gunfire the previous week.I’ve heard many news stories –concerning people shot–that AFTER THE FACT–say gunshots are heard regularly in their blocks.Point is,the city is much worse than is being reported. And when crimes ARE reported, the minorities do not cooperate with police.Similar to organized crime-type rules, the minorities copied:Hit squads, drive bys and don’t snitch if you get shot. The NEW West Side–same as the old Southeast side, thanks to allowing the area to be swept over by thugs.Building new low Income housing is NOT a solution ,Mayor.
