Police identify man whose body was recovered from Kalamazoo river

ALLEGAN, Mich. — A drowning victim was pulled out of the water in Allegan Monday night.

Witnesses say they spotted a body floating in the Kalamazoo River near North and River streets.

Police later identified the body as belonging to William Marshall, 56. His next of kin was notified and attended an autopsy, where the preliminary findings indicate he died from drowning. Police say there were no signs of injury on his body.
