Update: Shooting suspect who prompted AMBER Alert arrested in Grand Rapids

Update:Jaraun Dequan Render was arrested Thursday afternoon in Grand Rapids.

MUSKEGON, Mich. – Muskegon Police say the vehicle associated with a suspect in a double shooting was found in Grand Rapids Wednesday.

Two people were shot outside the Sunny Mart on Apple Avenue Tuesday evening.  Wednesday, police issued an Amber Alert for three kids who were with the suspect in the shooting, Jaraun Dequan Render, 22.

The children, aged 16 months to three years old, were found at home on McReynolds NW on Wednesday afternoon.  Police say that the vehicle Render was driving,  a burgundy Chevrolet Suburban, was also found in Grand Rapids and police are currently processing the vehicle.

Render’s whereabouts are still not known.

The victims of the shooting have been identified as Linda Jamerson, 19, and Dajuan Edison, 26.  They are both being treated for their injuries.
