Founder of local non-profit injured in crash

WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Lori Hastings, known for the non-profit Lori’s Voice, was hospitalized Monday evening after being injured in a crash at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Arthur Street in Wright Township.

David Hastings, 55, was driving on Arthur Street when he failed to stop and was hit by Lawrence Weiss, 52, who was driving northbound on 48th Avenue.

David Hastings and Weiss were uninjured.

Lori Hastings suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Police tell FOX 17 that everyone involved in this crash was wearing their seat belts.
