Police call death of previously-missing Crockery Township woman ‘suspicious’

CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office confirms a missing Crockery Township woman was found dead Thursday – and they’re calling the death ‘suspicious’.

A sheriff’s sergeant says the body of the 59-year-old Bonge was found early Thursday evening in a wooded area near hear home. Police are not saying yet why they believe the death is suspicious, or what evidence they’ve found.

They say more information will be “forthcoming in the coming days”. Meanwhile, the investigation continues.

CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The family of a missing Ottawa County woman says police advised them Thursday that Sheila Bonge had been found dead.

Family members passed that information along to FOX 17. No other details are being provided just yet – from family or police.

Bonge was 59, and a resident of Crockery Township.

CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Police are asking for help in locating a missing woman, 59, who was last seen near her home in the 14000 block of 104th Avenue in Crockery Township.

Sheila Bonge was last seen by family members on Christmas around 2 p.m.

Police describe Bonge as having brown, gray hair with brown eyes. She is approximately 5’3″ tall and about 115 pounds.
