Police: 2 arrested in dozens of Ottawa County thefts

ZEELAND, Mich. — Police say two teenagers are believed to be connected to dozens of thefts in Ottawa County.

Dylan Jacob Connelly, 18, and Jett Sebastian Ellerbroek, 17, were arraigned Wednesday in Ottawa County District Court on charges of third-degree home invasion, according to a release.

Police say the two were taken into custody after an officer on patrol noticed three recently stolen bicycles outside of a home. After further investigation, officials believe the two were involved in between 50 and 70 larcenies in the Zeeland and Holland areas.

The suspects are scheduled to be back in court Feb. 8.  Authorities say the case is still being reviewed and more charges are possible.
