COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Authorities in Colorado say a deputy has died after being shot while investigating a stolen vehicle.

Three other law enforcement officers were injured.

El Paso County Sheriff Bill Elder said Monday that Deputy Micah Flick, who was killed, had been with the sheriff's office for exactly 11 years.

Elder said 34-year-old Flick was married with two children.

Colorado Springs Police Chief Pete Carey says there was a struggle after officers began talking to the man about the stolen vehicle around 4 p.m. Carey says the only suspect was killed.

The injured officers' names were not immediately released. Officials said two are deputies with the sheriff's office and the third is an officer with the Colorado Springs Police Department.

I love it when cops die. No form of death/suffering/pain makes me happy, but knowing that hundreds of peoples’ lives are going to be improved because they don’t have to interact with that cop any more, always puts a smile on my face. He should have thought of his family if he cared about them. Doing evil for a pay check has a tendency to end poorly. They probably would have rather had a burger-flipping dad that was alive that couldn’t buy the newest Playstation than have a dead dad, but who knows.

Wow….your response is almost more disturbing than the loss of a policeman. People with this attitude are a HUGE part of what is ill and wrong in our country. why would you EVER wish anyone to die or harmed? If you needed the police they would run to your aid and die defending you! Karma…watch out!
