EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The East Grand Rapids School Board on Monday held its first meeting since the district announced an investigation into a teacher and coach.

High school teacher and track and cross-country coach Nick Hopkins was placed on leave for alleged inappropriate contact with former students.  Hopkins was also the school Athletic Director during the 2011-2012 school year.

The allegations involving Hopkins were not on Monday's agenda and officials did not release any more information on the case. The board said it will post answers to frequently asked questions about the investigation on its website Tuesday morning.

East Grand Rapids Police confirmed that they had been made aware of an alleged incident and are investigating it.
