Ferris State wins Division II national basketball crown

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Ferris State has won its first NCAA Division II title. 

The men’s basketball team defeated Northern State, 71-69, on Saturday afternoon in Sioux Falls – about a three-hour drive from Northern State’s campus in Aberdeen.

The Bulldogs finish the season with a 38-1 record, and 26 straight wins.
