WEST MICHIGAN — About 248 Consumers Energy customers are without electrical service early Saturday evening near the Kent/Barry/Ionia county lines, due to tree branches that have fallen on power lines.

As of 5:30 p.m., the Consumers Energy Outage Map was showing an impacted area near Freeport, bounded by Alden Nash Avenue on the west, 64th Street/Drew Road on the north, Bell Road on the east and 108th Steet/W. Veddr Road on the south.

Earlier Saturday, about 85 customers were in the dark in Ionia County, near Clarksville – south of I-96 – but Consumers Energy indicated the power was restored by 5:15 p.m.

The National Weather Service Wind Advisory was scheduled to end at 7 p.m. Saturday. Winds were clocked in excess of 35 miles per hour in some locations.
