Exercise can lower risk of depression

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A new study shows exercising can relieve depression.

Experts say brisk walking, taking the stairs, and cycling can reduce stress and inflammation, which are common causes of depression.

Feeling the effects of physical fitness can boost a person’s mental well-being.

It’s recommended that people hit at least 150 minutes of exercise a week.
