ALGOMA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 49-year-old man from Casnovia died and three other people were injured after a crash Wednesday in Algoma Township.
The two-vehicle rollover happened at about 2:30 p.m. in the area of Pine Island Drive and 13 Mile Road.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says Todd Carlson was driving west on 13 Mile Road when an eastbound car that was turning left onto Pine Island collided with his van.
The van left the road and rolled several times during the crash and Carlson was pinned inside, officials said in a release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, identified as a 58-year-old Wyoming woman, and two girls ages 8 and 5 years old who were in her car all suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
