Suspect sought in Plainfield Ave. bank robbery

GRAND RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Police responded to a robbery at a Kent County bank Friday afternoon.

The robbery was reported just before 4:40 p.m. Friday at Chase Bank, 3539 Plainfield Ave. NE.

Authorities say a man handed a teller a note, took money and then fled the area.  He is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s.  He is about 6 feet tall with a slim build and has long brown hair, facial hair and glasses.

The Kent County Sheriff's Department says a police dog was used to track the suspect in the area, but no arrests have been made.
