GRAND HAVEN, Mich.  —  Firefighters responded Saturday night to a report of a fourth-floor fire that had broken out in a commercial building in Grand Haven. But all they found was steam when they got there – at least as of 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

The location was SPI Pharma Inc., at 1711 Tiles Court, which is south of Waverly Avenue, west of Mercury Drive and east of S. Beechtree Street.

Ottawa County Central Dispatch Authority told FOX 17 that Grand Haven Township firefighters  and Grand Haven Department of Public Safety officers responded to the scene around 8:31 p.m. And the initial thinking was some plastic that may’ve been on fire in a fourth-floor suite. But after a lengthy search, there was nothing but steam visible in the one-thousand-square-foot suite, and some seen coming through the roof.

There were no early reports of injuries. County dispatchers said firefighters remained on scene searching and investigating, as of 9:30 p.m.

SPI Pharma says on its website that it provides “innovative solutions” for its global pharmaceutical and nutritional customers.
