Westbound I-94 reopens in Van Buren County; more crashes reported on highways

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. - Westbound I-94 was closed for about four hours Friday after Lawrence, Michigan and Mile Marker 52 due to a crash involving "multiple" semi-trucks.

Other crashes are reported along I-94, including the eastbound lanes at Napier Street (Exit 30) in Berrien County.

M-37 south of Newaygo

A semi-truck slid off of I-96 near Marne.  A van slid off of M-37 south of Newaygo. Nine people were onboard. One was hurt.

Area roads are slick and snow-covered.

    I was on I-96 last week when they closed it at Marne. Just west of Marne I hit a whiteout that I couldn’t see ANYTHING! Never saw it that bad driving, before. I was just waiting to be rear ended as I crawled through it. Couldn’t even see the end of my hood!
